“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility
value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each
of you to the interests of the others.” Philippians 2:3-4
People make mistakes and may there be mercy upon these poor souls I am about to talk
about. So for this scripture passage I wanted to discuss about how
hypocrites shut up the windows of Heaven and do not enter themselves as
warned about in the Gospel of Matt 23. Don't take what I say as Gospel as
many try to think or pretend. All I am saying is that we are all subject to
becoming hypocrites and not practicing what we preach. Our families often
times are the ones we usually catch in blatant hypocrisy since we know the
most about them and hypocrisy is a very hard falsehood to discern. It's
even hard to discern my own hypocrisy at times. Anyone who thinks they have
not at least at one time been a hypocrite is a liar and immoral and doesn't
have the spirit of Christ living within them. At the time of my hypocrisy
it was so great I didn't even know it existed, even now it's near
impossible to detect that's why it's called a deception. We must put no
confidence in the flesh for our flesh tries to manipulate our mind to
believing certain things are true which may not necessarily be true. That's
why I think it's best to note our families carry the severest forms of
hypocrisy for they know not what they do which causes very severe levels of
destruction to the spiritual lives & faith of others. Many times due to my
family I have lost faith due to their lack of faith and wanted to depart
from the faith due to being so disgusted by their haughty arrogance but
alas I must always serve the Lord. It was the way I was raised and
engrained to believe so I don't think I could ever truly depart from the
Lord without serious levels of conviction I could never truly live with. So
it's like a double edge sword not being able to be fully confident either
way I choose to follow the best I can after the Lord and his ways.
That being said be on your guard against your family! They are the ones
that will likely hurt you the worst or cause the most damage to your
spiritual walk and could cause you to depart from the ways of the Lord of
which I greatly warn. Don't trust them as the Bible says trust no man and
set no provision for the flesh for the flesh is at times tempted to be
arrogant. We must always set the Lord before us and remember Hypocrisy is
easy to fall prey to and we need to watch out for these unmerciful
hypocrites that are in our families. Just when I thought my family loved me
and was the safest place to be here comes all this hypocrisy and unmerciful
judgment. I have never seen such harsh words come from family or family
like structures. Your lifeblood relatives I am referring to of course but
you are also in danger of being hurt by your Church Family, your work
family, etc. I have been hurt the worst by those I love the most and I must
warn others as I really wished strongly someone would have warned me that
my family would screw me over royally worse than even my worst enemy in the
world. My enemies in the world curse me out and what have you but my family
kicks me out which screws me over with homelessness or my work family ie
boss goes off on me causing me to lose it and quit my job in arrogance or
my Church Family screws me over by being plain hypocritical. I mean
hypocritical by them deleting me from facebook with no notice, sending me
harsh words via text, combating with me at a Church group about how
strongly they disagree with me or what have you. So be warned! Don't trust
these hypocrites since they don't care for you though they should. Your
family loves you but only so far not as much as a true friend or not as
much as yourself. Jesus warned to be on guard against men since there were
hypocrites among us and I guess we never saw that Jesus could have meant be
on our guard against our Religious family members since they are the ones
possibly being hypocritical and causing our pain. So be on guard against
them and make wise choices that will prevent you from getting screwed
(homelessness, job loss, etc.). Your family will probably love you a lot
when you ask for little and give much but when it comes time to depend on
them for something and you need them to give this is where the hypocrisy
flourishes and people lose it.
As for the heretics among us there have been many in times past but not as
many with which I am currently aware. I do know of one heretic who was a
Pastor at his Church left for personal glory to seek "feelings from God"
and totally branded himself a heretic. He had a good thing going with his
Church and everything was fine till one day he decided he didn't want that
and was feeling to much discontent to stay. He decided against the
prompting of the Holy Spirit to depart from his faith and leave his Church
of which he was head Pastor. The problem with this story is not that he
left but the manner in which he left. He left to pursue "feelings" which
were unjustifiable as he wouldn't explain himself when question he just
acted dumbfounded which was the most shocking to me. I mean he left his
Church! That's a huge decision to just up and leave and still claim to be
following God. He can't possibly be lead by the Holy Spirit because the
Holy Spirit would never prompt someone to LEAVE THE CHURCH FOR SELFISH
AMBITION. Since he left for the wrong reasons he couldn't have possibly
left in spirit and in truth. He left to pursue his own personal ministry
and personal glory perhaps but that is besides the point. The point is
because he had successful book sales and suddenly felt the freedom probably
to do "whatever". He later ended up in China without a clue in the world
where God wanted him and still completely clueless about the call on his
life he moved back to "AMERICA" because He "felt" called again after
leaving his Pastor role in the Church. Is that any way for the Holy Spirit
to act? No this sounds like a confused man's journey that lost sight of
what was important due to his momentary success he lost complete control of
his life and it spun out of control that is God's control. God cannot use
people like that. His name is Frances Chan. I was shocked when I discovered
this because I loved listening to his teaching now I know he is a heretic
not worth listening to due to his reasons for leaving. He abandoned God and
abandoned his Church. He now travels the earth waywardly and in his
wantonness. My thing is not that he left that is not the issue here. The
issue is the reasons why he left, the manner in which he left, and the
terrible scene he caused when he did leave it caused more questions than
answers. For this reason he is a heretic. Now again Pastor's can step down
or leave their Pastor role in their Church if for good measure and good
reasoning but not in this way and not when it is this sloppy. Pastor's can
leave but not in a heretical way since they are under the public eye and
under more severe judgment by God for being responsible to lead the flock
as they are called shepherds for a reason in scripture.
The Conclusion
In closing we should do well to do nothing out of selfish ambition as
Frances Chan did or anything out of vain conceit as my Religious family has
done but to do all things in a spirit of remission and not counting on
others as much as we think we can depend on them since they will fail us
and can't be trusted. So these are basically unversed methods of scripture that people
use to hypocritically obey love or heretically practice following the Holy Spirit since they have good
intentions.
